Robin Ohs

I am a Research Assistant at the chair of Prof. Holger Hermanns since October 2023.

My research interests revolve around space technologies and energy-aware systems. Space networks and secure code are particularly important to me. I contribute to the FLoRaSat project lead by Dr. Juan Fraire and am co-responsible for the simulation of the orbital environment of the satellites, the dynamic creation and configuration of satellite constellations and the simulation of an accurate routing topology.

I completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science at the end of 2023 with a thesis on “Routing in Low-Earth Orbit: A Performance Comparison”, in which we investigated methods and benchmarks to create a comparable evaluation of routing algorithms for satellite constellations in low-Earth orbit using simulation methodologies.
